The company is preparing to launch The Next Jed Yod 4, a private low-rise condominium in the heart of Chiang Mai and the first in Chiang Mai to receive EDGE green building certification, on August 22. It also plans to expand into a new community mall business in Phuket, targeting an opening in early 2027 to capture purchasing power from both Thai and international consumers. Property markets in three tourist cities undergo correction, foreign buyers drive Chiang Mai growth while Phuket and Samui focus on clearing stock
The real estate markets in Thailand's three main tourist cities are undergoing a correction, with Chiang Mai recovering thanks to foreign purchasing power, while Phuket and Koh Samui are slowing new project launches to clear inventory. Mr. Akkadej Udomsirithamrong, Deputy CEO of Ornsirin Holding Public Company Limited, revealed that in the first quarter of 2026, the value of condominium transfers in Chiang Mai expanded by 24.1 percent year-on-year, with foreign transfer value reaching 566 million baht, an increase of 41.9 percent, led by Chinese buyers with 92 units worth 264 million baht. In Phuket, during the second half of 2025, total transfer value was 5.365 billion baht, down 9.0 percent, but new supply launched shrank to 50.171 billion baht from 105.921 billion baht, while foreign unit transfers in the first quarter of 2026 still reached 2.435 billion baht, accounting for 18.1 percent of the nationwide foreign transfer value. On Koh Samui, in the second half of 2025, total transfer value was 1.945 billion baht, growing 4.8 percent, with condominiums surging 59.1 percent to 431 million baht, and remaining supply stood at 10.738 billion baht. Ornsirin is preparing to launch The Astra Samui project worth 770 million baht. Nationwide in the first quarter of 2026, second-hand home transfers accounted for 67 percent, while the segment priced above 7 million baht slowed by 14.8 percent, and total foreign condominium transfer value fell 17.9 percent to 13.464 billion baht.

ORN Partners with Chiang Mai University Faculty of Science to Survey Biodiversity and Elevate ESG
Ornsirin Holding Public Company Limited, or ORN, has joined forces with the Environmental Science Research Center of the Faculty of Science at Chiang Mai University to launch a baseline biodiversity survey and develop a biodiversity action plan for the Mill Hill International School Thailand campus and its headquarters. The initiative aims to elevate business operations under the ESG framework and lay the groundwork for project development alongside concrete ecosystem conservation. The project will survey six main groups of organisms: plants, insects, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles, covering activity forests, ponds, streams, lakeside hills, and surrounding green areas. It will also assess ecological value and greenhouse gas absorption potential in line with the guidelines of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization. The findings will inform a three-year biodiversity action plan to increase native species, reduce invasive alien species, develop green infrastructure, and promote community participation through Citizen Science and Nature Explorers activities. Mr. Akkadej Udomsirithamrong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ORN, said this marks another important step in raising the standards of Thai real estate development by applying scientific knowledge to create a balance between residential development, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable improvement of community quality of life.

Chiang Mai International School Rises to Number Two in Thailand as Chinese, Myanmar, and Korean Parents Flock to Enroll Children

Vice Chairman Arkadej Udomsirithamrong revealed that the international school business will start recognizing significantly higher revenue from the end of the third quarter this year and is expected to generate recurring revenue of more than 100 million baht per year. Chiang Mai province has risen to become the country's second-largest education hub, with the nationwide international school market valued in the hundreds of billions of baht. Ornsirin has already invested over 1 billion baht in the first phase, setting annual tuition fees at 400,000 to 600,000 baht to target parents seeking authentic British standards at an accessible price.
