Ribbon Communications Inc. and TNS announced that TNS will incorporate Ribbon technologies into its Hosted Cloud Connect solution, a fully managed cloud-based offering that helps independent and rural operators modernize their voice networks without the cost and complexity of owning and operating voice infrastructure. The solution leverages Ribbon's Application Server, Session Border Controller, and Policy and Routing Server to streamline the transition from on-premises to cloud-based voice services while maintaining carrier-grade reliability, security, and service quality. Ribbon Communications provided third-quarter and full-year 2026 guidance during its second-quarter earnings call. For the third quarter, the company expects revenue between $215 million and $230 million and adjusted EBITDA between $26 million and $31 million. For the full year, Ribbon updated its outlook to revenue of $810 million to $840 million and adjusted EBITDA of $78 million to $88 million. CEO Bruce McClelland noted that second-quarter revenue grew 18% sequentially to $192 million, with IP Optical product and service bookings reaching an all-time high and a book-to-bill ratio of 1.6 times revenue. The company also announced a significant partnership with Salesforce to accelerate the Agentforce Contact Center offering, which McClelland said validates a new market segment. However, management moderated its second-half growth expectations due to slower-than-expected voice network modernization deployments with U.S. Tier 1 service providers and anticipated supply limitations.

Ribbon Communications introduced a new portfolio of solutions called Network in a Box, designed to help organizations rapidly deploy compute and networking capabilities in rugged, mobile enclosures. The solutions are available in off-the-shelf and customized configurations, ranging from portable suitcase-sized formats to industrial railway-car-sized data center designs. They support zero-touch deployment and can quickly restore communications during network disruptions or add networking capabilities where time is critical. The core platform provides secure high-speed data and voice networking across various physical access technologies.
