Septerna's SEP-479 Preclinical Data Accepted for ENDO 2026 Presentation

Septerna announced that the first comprehensive preclinical characterization of its oral hypoparathyroidism candidate SEP-479 has been accepted for an oral presentation at the 2026 Endocrine Society's Annual Meeting. The presentation will cover the pharmacological profile of SEP-479, a selective small-molecule PTH1R agonist, with preclinical studies showing strong activity in laboratory and animal models. SEP-479 is currently in a Phase 1 trial in healthy volunteers, with initial data expected in late 2026 or early 2027. The company believes the candidate could offer a once-daily oral treatment option for hypoparathyroidism. Separately, Guggenheim initiated coverage of Septerna with a Buy rating and a $52 price target.
