SBO AG Reports First Sales Growth in Eight Quarters

SBO AG reported a trend reversal in sales with an 8% increase in Q2 2026, ending eight consecutive quarters of decline or stagnation. Group sales for H1 2026 decreased 19.3% year-over-year to $2.05 billion from $2.54 billion, impacted by a weaker US dollar and the Middle East conflict. Bookings increased 8.5% year-over-year in H1 2026 and were 24% higher than in H2 2025, with backlog up almost 32% year-over-year. Group EBITDA in Q2 2026 reached close to $13 million, 11% higher than Q1 2026, while group EBIT reached $4.2 million, more than 50% higher than the $2.7 million reported in Q1 2026. Precision Technology sales increased almost 22% sequentially in Q2 2026, with EBITDA nearly quadrupling to almost $8 million and EBIT turning to a profit of $4 million after a loss of $1.5 million in Q1 2026. The company maintains a strong balance sheet with a 48% equity ratio, liquidity funds of $255 million, and net debt of $100 million with gearing at 23%.
