Sypris Solutions, Inc. supplies truck components, oil and gas pipeline components, and aerospace and defense electronics in North America. It operates through two segments: Sypris Technologies and Sypris Electronics. Sypris Technologies sells forged, machined, welded, and heat-treated steel components for commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, recreational vehicles, automotive, industrial, light truck, and energy markets, and produces drivetrain components such as axle shafts, transmission shafts, gear sets, and steer axle knuckles. Sypris Electronics provides circuit card and box build manufacturing, systems assembly and integration, design for manufacturability, and design-to-specification services for aerospace and defense, communications, and space electronics customers. The company was incorporated in 1997 and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.

Sypris Solutions Q2 Loss Widens on Material Availability Issues

Sypris Solutions reported a wider second-quarter 2026 net loss of 14 cents per share, compared with a loss of 9 cents per share a year earlier, as material availability issues and customer design changes delayed deliveries in its electronics segment. Revenues declined 3.5% to $30.3 million from $31.4 million, while the net loss widened to $3.1 million from $2.1 million. The Sypris Electronics segment saw revenues fall 10.8% to $15.5 million and posted a gross loss of $0.8 million, while Sypris Technologies revenues rose 5.6% to $14.9 million with gross margin expanding to 18.5% from 15.2%. Management expects the challenging operating environment to improve as 2026 progresses, supported by a robust backlog and recent program wins.
