Tertiary Minerals begins drilling at Target A1 silver discovery in Zambia

Tertiary Minerals has commenced its largest drilling programme in Zambia to date at the Mushima North project, with a 4,000-metre campaign aimed at delineating a formal mineral resource at the Target A1 prospect by year-end. Managing director Richard Belcher said the programme will also test extensions to known mineralisation and nearby targets, with the existing exploration target already standing at up to 58 million ounces of silver equivalent. Belcher highlighted the potential for deeper sulphide mineralisation beneath near-surface oxide copper-silver occurrences, describing it as a possible game changer for the company. He noted that the existing oxide mineralisation is already significant enough to support profitable mining, and pointed to the project's proximity to the historic Kalengwa copper-silver mine as evidence of the district's growing attractiveness as an exploration and mining hub.
