Its cosmetic ingredients include LUBRAJEL, a line of multifunctional hydrogel formulations for personal care and medical products; B-122, a powdered lubricant used in cosmetics such as pressed powders, eyeliners, and rouges, as well as some industrial products; ORCHID COMPLEX, an oil-based extract of orchids; and LUBRASIL II SB, a formulation of Lubrajel incorporating silicone oil. The company also offers medical lubricants for catheter lubrication, medical devices, condom lubrication, and oral care under the Lubrajel brand, and pharmaceutical products including RENACIDIN, a prescription to prevent and dissolve calcifications in urethral catheters, and CLORPACTIN WCS-90, a chlorine-based topical antimicrobial also used in urology. Additionally, it provides sexual wellness ingredients such as the Natrajel NT, Natrajel MA, Natrajel ON, and Natrajel TE product lines. United-Guardian Q2 Earnings Rise on Strong Cosmetic Ingredient Sales

United-Guardian reported second-quarter net sales of $3.11 million, up 10% from $2.84 million a year earlier, with net income increasing 16% to $728,579 and earnings per share rising 14.3% to 16 cents. Cosmetic ingredient sales jumped 44% year over year, driven primarily by increased purchases from Ashland Specialty Ingredients, while pharmaceutical sales grew 1% with Renacidin as the main driver. For the first half, net sales rose 12% to $5.98 million, net income advanced 30% to $1.55 million, and earnings per share increased 30.8% to 34 cents. Gross margin narrowed to 49.7% from 52.8% in the quarter as cost of sales rose 16.5%, but total other income increased 71.8% to $163,480, helping pretax income rise 16.1% to $917,605.
