Virginia National Bankshares Corporation is the holding company for Virginia National Bank, providing commercial and retail banking products and services in Virginia. It operates through two segments: Bank and VNB Trust and Estate Services. The company offers deposit products, loans, and services including checking accounts, demand deposits, NOW accounts, money market deposit accounts, time deposits, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, commercial loans, real estate construction and land loans, commercial real estate loans, 1-4 family residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, consumer loans, automated teller machines, internet banking, treasury and cash management, merchant and debit card services, and investment advisory and management services. It also provides investment management, wealth management, corporate trustee, trust and estate administration, IRA administration, in-house investment management, and custody services. It serves individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations. The company was formerly known as Virginia National Bank and changed its name to Virginia National Bankshares Corporation in December 2013. It was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Virginia National Bankshares reports second-quarter GAAP EPS of $1.65 on revenue of $19.78 million

Virginia National Bankshares Corporation announced second-quarter 2026 earnings with GAAP earnings per share of $1.65 and revenue of $19.78 million. Return on average assets improved to 2.24% from 1.05%, and return on average equity rose to 18.81% from 10.05%. Net interest margin on a fully taxable equivalent basis increased to 3.65% from 3.40%, while the efficiency ratio improved to 41.6% from 61.2%. Gross loans outstanding totaled $1.2 billion as of June 30, 2026, a decrease of $7.7 million from a year earlier, and deposits stood at $1.4 billion, up $20.1 million from June 30, 2025. Book value per share climbed to $35.89 from $31.67 a year ago, and tangible book value per share reached $34.05 compared to $29.63.
