XWELL appoints energy and capital markets leader Gerard Reid to its board

XWELL has appointed Gerard Reid to its board of directors, effective immediately. Reid is internationally recognized as a leading advisor on energy, technology, infrastructure and capital markets, and currently serves on the leadership team of the Energy Transition Forum. He is also co-founder and co-host of the Redefining Energy podcast. The company also announced that Ezra Ernst has resigned as a director to focus on his role as president and CEO, a position he will continue to hold.

XWELL agrees to sell XpresSpa and XpresTest for $13M

XWELL has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its XpresSpa and XpresTest businesses to Express Wellness Group, a Face Haus affiliate, for $13 million. The divestiture is intended to maximize shareholder value, fund growth initiatives, and support the company's strategic pivot into the national security sector. The transaction is expected to close later in 2026. Shares fell 13.72%.
