Zeo Energy Stock Plunges 49.5% Despite Narrower Q2 Loss
Zeo Energy Corp. shares have fallen 49.5% since reporting second-quarter 2026 results, compared with a 1.4% decline in the S&P 500 over the same period. The company's quarterly revenue dropped 10.7% to $16.2 million from $18.1 million a year earlier, while its loss per share narrowed to 7 cents from 11 cents. Gross profit declined to $7.6 million from $10.8 million, and the gross margin contracted to 47.1% from 59.8%. Adjusted EBITDA swung to a loss of $2.1 million from a positive $1.6 million, and the operating loss widened modestly to $3 million. CEO Tim Bridgewater said performance continued to outpace the residential solar market, citing a 23% sequential revenue improvement and a 40% industry-wide drop in residential solar permits. The company ended June with $2.5 million in cash, down from $6.1 million at the end of 2025, and plans to raise additional capital in 2026.
