The company was incorporated in 1947 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

ツムラなど5社、人型ロボット導入へAIデータセンター本格稼働

人型ロボットを工場や物流現場に導入するため、フィジカルAIに人間の作業を学習させるデータ収集センターが26日、千葉県習志野市で本格稼働した。漢方薬メーカーのツムラや機械専門商社の山善など5社が運営に参画し、1社単独では難しい膨大な作業データの収集やAIによる学習を連携して行う。5社が参画するコンソーシアム「J―HRTI(ジェイハーティ)」が運営し、施設には最大40台の中国製人型ロボットとオペレーターが常駐。仮想現実(VR)ゴーグルを装着したオペレーターがロボットを操作しデータを収集するほか、実際の作業環境を再現したエリアで導入に向けて検証する。今年度中に搬送など単純な作業での導入を目指す。ツムラの熊谷昇一執行役員は「人口減少で労働力確保が困難になる中、安定供給のためには自動化、無人化が必要だ」と話した。
