The Ministry of Finance is preparing to extend the Thai Help Thai Plus Phase 2 programme by another two months, covering October through November 2026, using the same 60:40 formula. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas said the extension will use remaining budget and will not divert funds from the second tranche earmarked for the energy transition, and that it will be submitted to the Cabinet meeting on 22 September 2026.
