US defense technology startup Anduril Industries is in talks with investors for a new funding round that could value the company at $100 billion, putting it on par with major US defense contractors like Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin, according to people familiar with the matter. A two-stage structure has been proposed, under which investors would commit additional capital in a second round within a year at a higher valuation. The second-round valuation could be contingent on Anduril meeting certain financial targets. Just two months ago, Anduril raised $5 billion at a $61 billion valuation, doubling its previous valuation. A company spokesperson said no decisions have been made regarding future fundraising.
