Space Exploration Technologies Corp. Class A Common StockBaron invests $1B in SpaceX IPO, predicts massive valuation driven by Starlink revenue potential

Billionaire fund manager Ron Baron invested $1 billion in SpaceX's initial public offering on June 12, adding to his firm's existing stake that is now worth more than $25 billion. SpaceX raised about $85.7 billion in the IPO after underwriters exercised their greenshoe option, nearly three times the next largest raise in history. Baron told CNBC that SpaceX will become the largest company on the planet and could be worth $10 trillion, $20 trillion, or $30 trillion over the next 10 to 15 years, driven by Starlink potentially reaching 300 million users and generating $1 trillion in annual revenue. However, SpaceX posted a $4.9 billion net loss in 2025 and trades at nearly 140 times sales, while its xAI arm burns about $1 billion a month in cash.
