BMW completed a $1.7B expansion and unveiled its first U.S.-built EV, the iX5, with plans for five more EV models by 2030.

BMW has completed a $1.7 billion investment to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint at Plant Spartanburg and unveiled its first fully electric model assembled in the United States, the iX5, alongside the new X5. The company plans to produce at least five additional electric models in South Carolina by 2030. The expansion places the Spartanburg plant at the center of BMW's electric vehicle strategy. The stock currently trades around €60.12, having gained 4.6% over the past week but declined 14.6% over the past 30 days and 37.6% year to date.
