CivilGrid Raises $26M Series A to Modernize U.S. Infrastructure

San Juan Regional Medical Center has implemented several new Oracle Health solutions to streamline patient flow, improve bed management, and enhance operational visibility, the organizations announced September 18, 2026. The independent, community-owned nonprofit system, which serves the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, adopted Oracle Health Command Center Dashboard, Oracle Health Patient Flow, and Oracle Health Transfer Center, building on its long-time use of Oracle Health clinical and revenue cycle solutions, with Optum supporting the implementation. One month after go-live, bed-assignment time fell 38.9%, from 54.00 minutes to 33.00 minutes, while environmental services response time dropped 48.5%, from 49.67 minutes to 25.56 minutes, exceeding the organization's established target, and environmental services clean-completion time improved 1.2% and continues to trend positively. John Gaede, CIO of San Juan Regional Medical Center, said the long-standing collaboration with Oracle Health provided a strong foundation for the next step in enhancing patient flow and operational coordination, and Carlo Hallak, MD, physician informatics executive, said the new solutions equip clinical and operational teams with a more connected view of operations. Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences, said health systems need a clear, real-time view of their operations, and Lou DiLorenzo, CEO of Optum Advisory, said technology transformation is most successful when paired with operational expertise and a clear focus on the care journey.

Freight Technologies, Inc. announced the launch of AI POD Validation, a new artificial intelligence module within its Fleet Rocket Transportation Management System that automatically reads and verifies proof-of-delivery documents and flags those that do not meet validation requirements. Developed by the company's in-house AI Lab, the module uses computer vision and machine learning to detect signatures and stamps, extracts text through structured optical character recognition, and matches the data against shipment records, returning a verdict of Approved, Review or Rejected along with a confidence score and supporting evidence. The company said the tool reduces the manual workload on every completed shipment, and Chief Executive Officer Javier Selgas described proof-of-delivery review as one of the most repetitive, expensive and error-prone tasks in freight operations. AI POD Validation is available to Fleet Rocket customers as part of the Enterprise version and joins the AI Tendering Bot and the Zayren.ai integration within the platform. Freight Technologies said it expects to extend the same document-intelligence approach to other freight documents, including carrier invoices and bills of lading, as part of its transition to a software-first, SaaS-based business serving the U.S.–Mexico corridor.

Calix announced an expansion of Calix Agent Workforce Cloud on its AI-native Calix One platform, adding secure agentic workflows that help service providers operationalize AI across marketing, support, and operations. The new capabilities build on initial workflows introduced in May and include agentic workflows for campaign creation and upsell recommendations, troubleshooting and resolution, and network detection and remediation, with subscriber self-service workflows coming soon through the CommandIQ mobile app. Calix said the campaign and upsell workflows evolve platform capabilities that have increased monthly recurring revenue by as much as 500 percent, the troubleshooting workflows build on capabilities that have reduced inbound support calls by up to 88 percent, and the network detection workflows advance capabilities that have reduced mean time to repair by up to 75 percent. The company said Calix One, built on more than 26 years of broadband expertise and over $2 billion in platform investment, processes more than a petabyte of data daily and executes over 4.3 billion workflows annually. Brooks Goodall, chief operations officer and assistant general manager at RTC Networks, said the platform fits into how teams already work, while Calix president and chief executive officer Michael Weening said the company has invested three years evolving its platform to be AI-native and will deliver new capabilities faster and faster.
