Eton Pharmaceuticals IncQ2 beat and raised guidance

Eton Pharmaceuticals stock surged 41.9% through 2:15 p.m. ET Friday after the rare-disease drug developer reported second-quarter results that beat analyst forecasts and raised its full-year guidance. The company posted a profit of $0.43 per share on $37.6 million in sales, compared with Wall Street expectations of $0.15 per share on $26.9 million in revenue. Sales nearly doubled year over year, and Eton flipped from a $0.10 per share GAAP loss to a $0.35 per share profit. The company also licensed the rights to infantile hemangioma drug candidate ASN-001 from Auson Pharmaceuticals, and raised its revenue guidance to exceed $145 million for the year, well above the $121 million analysts had expected.
