ExxonMobil reported a second-quarter 2026 net income of US$14.5 billion on revenue of US$116.0 billion, with basic earnings per share from continuing operations rising to US$3.48 from US$1.64 a year earlier. Upstream production reached its highest level in more than two decades, and Permian Basin output set a new quarterly record. Over the first half of 2026, revenue totaled US$201.2 billion and net income was US$18.7 billion. The company affirmed a third-quarter dividend of US$1.03 per share and repurchased 34.1 million shares during the quarter, bringing total buybacks under the current program to 738.8 million shares, or 17.71% of its share count. Management highlighted tight global refining capacity as a factor keeping fuel prices elevated even when crude supply is available.
