The US Food and Drug Administration approved a new dosing regimen for Eli Lilly and Company's EBGLYSS, a treatment for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. The regimen permits adults and children 12 years and older weighing at least 88 pounds to receive a single 250mg injection every 8 weeks, reducing maintenance injections to as few as 6 per year. The approval was based on longitudinal exposure-response modeling data and clinical data from the 32-week Phase 3 Adjoin trial, with no new safety signals and no patient discontinuations due to adverse events. EBGLYSS, a monoclonal antibody targeting IL-13, was previously approved for monthly maintenance dosing and has received regulatory nods in the US, Japan, Canada, and the European Union.
