GE HealthCare Technologies Inc.CE Mark for Photonova Spectra expands market access in Europe.

GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. announced that its Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system has received CE Mark, expanding access to the technology across Europe and other CE Mark-observing markets, following FDA 510(k) clearance and Japanese regulatory approval in March 2026. The system, powered by GEHC's proprietary Deep Silicon detector technology, offers ultra-high-definition imaging and on-demand spectral and spatial imaging. The CE Mark broadens GEHC's commercial opportunity in the photon-counting CT market, which is valued at $0.5 billion in 2026 and expected to grow at a CAGR of 29.4% through 2035. GEHC stock has fallen 1.1% since the announcement, and year to date it is down 14.2%, compared with the industry's 17% decline. The company is also collaborating with UZ Brussel – Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Rigshospitalet to evaluate the system's clinical applications.
