GM announced a $675 million additional investment in Brazil, expanding its commitment and supporting portfolio renewal and modernization.
General Motors announced an additional 3.5 billion reais, or about 675 million dollars, for its Brazil operations, expanding its commitment to the country's auto industry by 50%. The new amount adds to 7 billion reais announced in 2024, bringing GM's total planned investment to 10.5 billion reais through 2028. The investment will mainly go to the company's operations in Sao Paulo state and will support Chevrolet portfolio renewal, incorporation of hybrid models, factory modernization, and expansion of engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
