Hanwha Power has successfully commissioned its first Fuel Gas Compressors in the U.S. at the 950MW Trumbull Energy Center combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Ohio. The company supplied three units featuring Variable Frequency Drive technology designed to handle seasonal pipeline pressure fluctuations in the PJM grid. Hanwha Power also secured a 9-year Long-Term Service Agreement covering capital spare parts and maintenance through three major overhaul cycles, with its Houston service center serving as the primary hub for on-site support and component refurbishment. The plant, developed to replace retired coal-fired capacity, is expected to be a critical asset in the PJM wholesale electricity market. Hanwha Power plans to expand its service business and supply of high-efficiency power generation solutions across North America.
