Billionaire hedge fund manager Ken Griffin's Citadel increased its position in AbbVie by 547% through the purchase of an additional 2.68 million shares at an average price of $214.90 per share. AbbVie, a Dividend King with 53 consecutive years of dividend increases, currently trades around $260 per share and yields about 2.8%. The company is spending $10.9 billion to acquire Apogee Therapeutics, gaining the potential atopic dermatitis therapy Zumilokibart, which offers a three- to six-month dosing schedule versus two to three weeks for Dupixent. AbbVie spent $13.8 billion on research and development in 2025 and has more than 90 candidate compounds in clinical development, including 375 clinical-stage programs. The deal is not expected to increase adjusted earnings per share until 2032.
