Meta Platforms Inc.Meta is in talks to lease data center computing power from Anthropic, indicating strong demand for AI infrastructure.
Moonshot AI's Kimi announced it is immediately suspending new consumer subscriptions, redirecting all existing computing power to safeguard current subscribers' rights. The move comes after user requests for the newly launched next-generation large model Kimi K3 approached the computing cluster's capacity limit within 48 hours of its release. The news sparked activity in A-share computing power leasing concepts, with Liton Electronics, Unisplendour, and Meili Cloud hitting their daily limit up, while Xingyun Technology, Yakang Technology, and Xiechuang Data surged over 10%. Overseas markets are also grappling with computing power shortages. Meta Platforms is in preliminary talks with Anthropic to lease data center computing power, with a potential contract value of up to 10 billion dollars. Computing power leasing prices are soaring. The hourly rental for Nvidia's Blackwell series chips has jumped 48% since February to 4.08 dollars, while the one-year lease price for H100 chips has risen 35.6% from its low last October to 2.40 dollars per GPU per hour. Multiple brokerages believe the computing power leasing industry is experiencing strong supply and demand, with a positive profit cycle already underway. The development of domestic computing power and sustained investment by major companies will support high prosperity in AI infrastructure.
