Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust has surpassed $400 million in inflows since its April 9 launch, with the first $200 million coming from self-directed client trades before the firm's sales force even began actively marketing the product. Amy Oldenburg, head of digital assets at Morgan Stanley, discussed the milestone during an interview at the Out East Summit, noting that the trust is the firm's first bitcoin exchange-traded product and was priced competitively to attract investors. The bank has also enabled spot trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana on its E-Trade platform and is expanding services such as lending against ETP exposure and in-kind transfers from spot crypto to ETFs. Oldenburg highlighted ongoing efforts to build wallet infrastructure and prepare for tokenization, while acknowledging that broader asset allocation recommendations and advisor-driven flows could drive further growth.
