Morgan StanleyMorgan Stanley launches new crypto ETFs with lowest fees, expanding its product lineup and competitive positioning in asset management.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched new exchange-traded products for ethereum and solana, trading under the tickers MSSE and MSOL on the New York Stock Exchange Arca. The products carry an expense ratio of 0.14%, the lowest among comparable offerings, and the firm intends to stake a portion of the holdings while passing all staking rewards back to investors. The launch follows the firm’s earlier bitcoin ETF and the recent rollout of spot crypto trading on its E-Trade platform, which serves nearly 9 million customers. Amy Oldenburg, who leads crypto efforts at Morgan Stanley, noted that the first $200 million in the bitcoin product came from self-directed clients before the advisor sales force became involved, signaling strong organic demand. The move marks a shift from merely allowing crypto access to actively competing for investor assets in the space.
