Koninklijke Philips has expanded its women's health ultrasound portfolio with the launch of the eV14-2v transvaginal transducer, a FDA 510(k)-cleared and CE-marked device designed for gynecology and early obstetrics imaging, which will be showcased at the ISUOG 2026 World Congress. Compared with its previous-generation 3D9-3v transducer, the new device offers 41.7% greater penetration, 10% higher 2D resolution, a 15.8% wider field of view, and a 22% lighter design, while integrating PureWave crystal technology and compatibility with Philips' Collaboration Live platform for real-time remote consultations. The launch strengthens Philips' position in the premium ultrasound market, supporting its strategy to drive adoption of higher-value imaging technologies. Shares of PHG traded flat on Friday, and year to date, the stock has lost 4.4% compared with the industry's 17.4% decline, while the S&P 500 has risen 12.2%. Philips has a market capitalization of $25.45 billion.
