PTT Public Company LimitedPTT announces 1 trillion baht five-year investment budget and strong H1 2026 net profit up 74%, boosting return on equity.

PTT has announced its strategic direction on the occasion of its 48th anniversary and entry into its 49th year, focusing on driving four sustainable future plans with the goal of becoming a growth leader in Thailand and global markets. The group has set a five-year investment budget of 1 trillion baht, will add partners, and expand its LNG portfolio to 10 million tonnes by 2030 to boost return on equity, create added value for the Thai economy, and maintain energy security. Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President, said the four plans comprise being a leader in the energy transition, being a Thai champion organization growing in global and domestic markets, caring for society in new ways, and integrating new technologies such as AI and CCS more into the business. The PTT Group contributes around 5% of the country's GDP and accounts for around 10% of the nation's greenhouse gas emissions. First-half 2026 operating results showed net profit of 78.263 billion baht, up more than 74% from the same period last year, and the PTT Group created over 8.7 billion baht in added value from internal collaboration through Profit Enhancement Initiatives. The MissionX project has generated cumulative value of more than 20 billion baht in nearly two years. Meanwhile, the LNG business aims to expand its portfolio from 3.7 million tonnes in 2026 to 10 million tonnes in 2030 and 15 million tonnes in 2035, considering investment in infrastructure only when returns are more worthwhile than trading. PTT also remains ranked first in Thailand and second in Southeast Asia on the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 for the third consecutive year.
