Rivian Automotive IncRevenue beat is positive but overshadowed by dilutive stock offering of 75 million shares.

Rivian Automotive announced its second quarter revenue is expected to be between $1.55 billion and $1.65 billion, beating the average analyst estimate of $1.44 billion. The electric vehicle manufacturer also reported a preliminary estimated balance of cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments of $5.3 billion as of June 30, 2026. The company said the increase in vehicle deliveries was partially offset by lower average selling prices due to a higher mix of commercial vans, as well as increases in vehicle electrical architecture and software development services and revenues related to regulatory credits. Rivian also announced the offering of 75 million Class A common stock and intends to grant underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 11.25 million shares, with net proceeds to be used for general corporate purposes including funding equity contributions under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy. Shares of Rivian slipped over 8% in extended trading on Monday.
