Tesla IncInvestor Ross Gerber criticizes Tesla's shift away from selling EVs, urging focus on EV sales; stock decline noted.

Investor Ross Gerber, co-founder of Gerber Kawasaki, urged Tesla CEO Elon Musk to refocus on selling electric vehicles, criticizing the company's shift toward AI and chip manufacturing. Tesla's stock has fallen more than 13% since May 26, trading at $374.40 per share in after-hours trading on Thursday. Gerber also praised Jeff Bezos-backed Slate Auto and its modular electric pickup truck, which will retail for close to $25,000 for the base variant. Meanwhile, Tesla is reportedly considering developing an affordable EV for the Chinese market, and investor Gary Black dismissed rumors that Musk is delaying the Robotaxi rollout to force a merger with SpaceX following its $86 billion IPO.
