SpaceX is on track to launch 3,000 Starlink satellites in 2026, with Starship as a major catalyst for capacity.

SpaceX is on pace to deploy roughly 3,000 Starlink satellites in 2026, having already launched more than 1,500 in the first half of the year. The company continues regular launches, most recently sending up 24 satellites on June 20 and another 24 on June 24 via Falcon 9 rockets. A major future catalyst is the Starship megarocket, which can carry the equivalent of about 600 v2 Starlink satellites per launch, over 20 times the capacity of a Falcon 9, though commercialization is not expected until 2027. SpaceX has FCC approval for 12,000 satellites and has filed for 42,000 more, with over 9,000 already in orbit.
