MicroStrategy IncorporatedCEO states balance sheet is secure unless Bitcoin falls to $10,000, and company is building dollar reserves to support preferred stock.

Strategy CEO Phong Le said the company remains very secure unless Bitcoin’s price drops to $10,000 or lower. In a Bloomberg TV interview, Le stated that a decline to that level would represent an 85% fall from Bitcoin’s current price of $64,800, and that until then the balance sheet is safe. Strategy has been selling some of its Bitcoin holdings to fund dividends on its preferred stock, which has fallen below its $100 par value to $88.36, pressuring the firm’s ability to issue new shares for Bitcoin purchases. Le noted that building U.S.-dollar reserves should help the preferred stock recover toward $90, and that the company is focused on constructing a capital structure that can withstand bear markets.
