Tesla's UK deliveries fell 9% to 45,239 vehicles in 2025, while revenue dropped 6% to £1.83 billion, according to accounts for its UK subsidiary. The decline comes as Chinese rivals gain ground, with the Jaecoo E5 made by Chery International becoming the third most popular electric car in July, priced from £27,505 compared to around £38,000 for a Tesla Model 3. Overall UK battery-electric vehicle sales rose 44.5% to a record 43,106 last month, but no Tesla model appeared in the top 10. The UK has not imposed tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, unlike the EU or the US. Tesla's global profits fell 17% to $1.2 billion in the second quarter, as it cut prices and lost tax credits, while doubling capital spending on AI and robotics.
