Robinhood Markets IncCourt ruling blocks Kalshi's sports event contracts, cutting off Robinhood's route for customer event-contract orders and threatening substantial business.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco has blocked Kalshi from offering sports event contracts tied to the lands of two California tribes, Reuters reported. The court said the contracts violated the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and the gaming ordinances of the Blue Lake Rancheria and Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians. The ruling also marks a setback for Robinhood Markets, which stands to lose substantial business if it cannot route customers' event contract orders through Kalshi, according to the newswire.
