ST Derun Sues to Recover 58.98 Million Yuan in Subrogated Payments

ST Derun has filed a lawsuit with the Bishan District People's Court in Chongqing against Midea Electric Appliances (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. and Meite Technology (Yibin) Co., Ltd. over a right-of-recovery dispute, demanding the defendants return loan principal and interest it paid on their behalf plus interest on the occupied funds, with the amount involved tentatively calculated at 58.98 million yuan. The company and its subsidiaries had provided joint liability guarantees for Chongqing Midea's borrowings from Agricultural Bank of China. Because Chongqing Midea failed to meet its repayment obligations, Agricultural Bank of China applied for compulsory enforcement, resulting in the corresponding amount being deducted from the company's bank account. The litigation amount accounts for 4.46% of the company's most recent audited net assets. The company has already recognized a provision for expected liabilities in its 2024 financial statements, but the actual impact on profit remains uncertain. In the first quarter of 2026, ST Derun achieved revenue of 1.079 billion yuan and net profit attributable to the parent company of 25.26 million yuan.
