Better Life's non-GAAP net profit surges 474.74%, driven by supermarkets and shopping malls

Better Life released its 2026 semi-annual report. During the reporting period, it achieved operating revenue of 2.339 billion yuan, up 9.87% year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 143 million yuan, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 67 million yuan, a sharp year-on-year increase of 474.74%. The contrast between the year-on-year decline in net profit and the sharp growth in non-GAAP net profit mainly stems from the recognition of substantial restructuring gains in the same period last year, while restructuring gains decreased this period, but the profitability of the core business after non-recurring items improved significantly. Supermarket revenue grew 16.28% year on year. Among the 22 operating stores, comparable-store profit improved notably, with single-store sales rising from 180,000 yuan in the same period of the 2024 Spring Festival to 910,000 yuan in the same period of 2026, and average monthly sales per square meter climbing from 1,203 yuan to 5,371 yuan. The shopping mall segment also completed a refresh and upgrade. The Hengyang and Xiangtan stores have been renovated, the Huaihua store will open in September, and customer traffic rose 7% year on year. The company said it will continue to deepen its 'Pangdonglai-style reform' model and pursue a quality retail path.
