Marimekko's Board of Directors has decided to transfer free of charge a total of 81,890 company shares to members of the Marimekko Management Group under the Performance share plan 2022–2026. The shares are estimated to be transferred on 7 July 2026 and are subject to a two-year transfer restriction. The transfer is based on an authorization from the Annual General Meeting held on 16 April 2026, with the company citing an especially weighty financial reason to deviate from shareholders' pre-emptive subscription rights. The shares constitute rewards from the second earnings period of the plan, which ran from 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2026 and achieved targets at a rate of 72.33 percent, with rewards paid half in shares and half in cash. Following the transfer, Marimekko will hold 85,900 of its own shares, representing approximately 0.21 percent of total shares.
