SuperMap Software posts first-half loss of 129 million yuan, swinging from profit to loss year-on-year

SuperMap Software released its 2026 interim report. Operating revenue was 427 million yuan, down 29.2 percent year-on-year. The company posted a loss of 129 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 1,174.3 percent, swinging from profit to loss. Excluding non-recurring items, the loss was 136 million yuan, down 5,008.7 percent year-on-year. Net operating cash flow was negative 209 million yuan, an improvement of 32.0 percent year-on-year. Earnings per share were negative 0.266 yuan. In the second quarter, operating revenue was 242 million yuan, down 34.4 percent year-on-year. Net loss attributable to the parent company was 86.55 million yuan, down 255.9 percent year-on-year. Excluding non-recurring items, the net loss attributable to the parent company was 90.67 million yuan, down 271.1 percent year-on-year. The company said the loss was mainly because fewer projects reached acceptance standards in the first half, causing revenue recognised under the final acceptance method to fall sharply. In addition, three major pilot projects accepted in the second quarter recorded an overall loss, which weighed on gross margin. Despite the loss, cash collection in the first half rose 16.2 percent year-on-year, and net cash generated from operating activities increased 31.98 percent year-on-year. During the reporting period, the company released and continued to upgrade its GIS and remote sensing product lines, launched a new professional GIS product system called the ActiveMap series, and actively won multiple major projects in areas such as natural resources, housing and urban-rural development, and data administration.
