Convum Reports Double-Digit Revenue and Profit Growth in Q1 on Solid Semiconductor and Robot-Related Demand
Convum announced its consolidated results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026. Revenue rose 15.5 percent year on year to 561 million yen, operating profit increased 18.6 percent to 109 million yen, ordinary profit grew 22.1 percent to 111 million yen, and net profit attributable to owners of the parent climbed 15.3 percent to 78 million yen. Driving the performance was a recovery in demand for electronic components and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, which accounts for roughly 40 to 50 percent of sales. As semiconductor manufacturing equipment utilization rises, demand for consumable suction pads is expanding steadily. By segment, the Japan business saw a recovery in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and maintenance demand, along with strong inquiries for robot hand-related products. The South Korea business, which focuses on the semiconductor market that makes up 80 percent of its sales, is expected to see a demand recovery lagging behind the Japanese market. The full-year consolidated earnings forecast remains unchanged from the initial plan, and the company emphasizes stable dividends with a payout ratio target of 30 percent.
