CKD raises full-year net profit forecast to 19 billion yen, semiconductor demand exceeds expectations

CKD announced on the 10th that it has revised upward its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, from the previous 16.3 billion yen to 19 billion yen, a 39.9% increase from the prior year. This reflects the fact that demand in semiconductor-related markets has significantly exceeded initial expectations. The new forecast surpasses the average consensus estimate of 18.8 billion yen compiled by IBES from 12 analysts. The annual dividend forecast was also raised from 95 yen to 112 yen. For the April–June quarter, consolidated net profit was 5.6 billion yen, 2.29 times the same period last year, driven by robust demand related to generative AI. In Japan, sales of semiconductor manufacturing equipment increased substantially, while overseas, capital investment remained solid in China's semiconductor-related and secondary battery markets, as well as in semiconductor-related markets in other regions.
