Nichicon Corporation develops and produces electrical components through its subsidiaries in Japan, the United States, Asia, Europe, and other international markets. Its product lineup includes chip, conductive polymer, hybrid, large can, and miniature aluminum electrolytic capacitors, as well as film capacitors for xEV, lithium titanate rechargeable batteries for space-constrained IoT applications, energy control system technology, switching power supplies, power utility capacitors, special power supplies, function modules, and Posi-R thermistors. These products serve automotive, power supply and lighting, information and communications, industrial, DC link, asset tracking, energy harvesting, IoT, wireless sensor, RFID, smart pallet, and pick-to-light applications. Formerly known as Nichicon Capacitor Ltd., the company changed its name to Nichicon Corporation in October 1987, was incorporated in 1950, and is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.
