Tokyo Kiraboshi FG to Reorganize Group Company Functions, Considering Consolidation of Consulting and Systems

Tokyo Kiraboshi Financial Group President Toshinobu Watanabe has announced a policy to reorganize the functions of its group companies. The consulting and systems divisions currently dispersed across subsidiaries will each be consolidated to improve operational efficiency. Watanabe explained that being able to propose services comprehensively would also benefit customers. Kiraboshi FG repaid the full 40 billion yen of public funds invested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government ahead of schedule in May, and Watanabe said a growth strategy is needed to raise the capital adequacy ratio, which declined due to the redemption of preferred shares. The group will coordinate to include the functional reorganization in the next medium-term management plan starting next fiscal year, and will also indicate a policy of concentrating deposit transactions and mortgage operations in its digital bank UI Bank, while Kiraboshi Bank will focus on business succession for corporate clients and support for overseas expansion.
