Kondotec Inc. manufactures, procures, imports, sells, wholesales, and exports industrial materials, mainly for the retail hardware business, in Japan and internationally. It operates in four segments: industrial materials, steel structural materials, electrical equipment and materials, and scaffolding construction. Products include turn buckles, braces, scaffolding chains, screws, anchor bolts, construction materials, machinery, and equipment, as well as merchandise such as hardware, chains, wire ropes, lighting equipment, panel boards, air-conditioning equipment, and eco items. The company also supplies structural steel materials to steel fabricators, provides electrical equipment for electrical work operators and appliance stores, designs and manufactures labor-saving and transport equipment, offers scaffolding construction services and equipment rental, wholesales electric equipment, and develops and manufactures aluminum extrusions. Formerly known as Kondo Iron Works Co., Ltd., it changed its name to Kondotec Inc. in January 1989, was founded in 1947, and is based in Osaka, Japan.
