Bitcoin Japan Files Trademark for BJC AI LABS, Stepping Up AI and Robotics Investments
Bitcoin Japan Co., Ltd. has filed a trademark application for the BJC AI LABS brand, making clear its intention to step up investments in embodied AI, robotics, and physical AI. The application, submitted on August 18, 2026, covers data collection, AI model training, and industry-specific embodied AI development, positioning the brand alongside the existing BJC ROBOTICS. The company has already committed 3.12 billion yen in initial investment capital and holds stakes in SpaceX and Figure AI. In an exclusive interview, CEO Philip Lord said the company currently holds no bitcoin and is prepared to allocate up to 12.5 percent of its capital base to digital assets over the long term. The company plans to build its business around three pillars: investments in late-stage unlisted AI companies, strategic assets such as rare earths, and physical AI operations.
