Orient Corporation provides consumer finance services in Japan through five segments: Overseas; Credit Cards and Cash Loans; Settlement and Guarantee; Installment Credit; and Bank Loan Guarantee. Its offerings include auto loans and leasing, shopping credit, home loans, credit card shopping, cash advances, consumer loans, various guarantees, rent settlement guarantee, accounts receivable services, guarantee services for small leases, and collection agent services. It also provides bank loan guarantee services for personal loans from affiliated financial institutions. Formerly known as Orient Finance, the company was incorporated in 1951 and is headquartered in Chiyoda, Japan.

Orico Points Now Exchangeable for Crypto Assets, Including BTC, ETH, and XRP

SBI VC Trade announced on July 31 that it has added crypto assets as a redemption option for Orient Corporation's Orico Points loyalty program. This marks the first time crypto assets are available for Orico Points redemption, with the eligible assets being Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. Individual users can exchange 1,200 Orico Points for 1,000 yen worth of crypto assets per unit, and the redeemed crypto assets will be credited to the user's VCTRADE account. Note that the BITPOINT service, also under the SBI Group, is not included in this initiative.
