U-NEXT HOLDINGS posts record-high revenue and operating profit for the first three quarters
U-NEXT HOLDINGS has announced its cumulative results for the first three quarters of the fiscal year ending August 2026, with revenue and operating profit reaching new record highs. Revenue rose 17.2 percent year on year to 332.32 billion yen, while operating profit increased 4.2 percent to 25.233 billion yen, achieving 78 percent and 75 percent of the full-year forecast respectively. Ordinary profit and net profit fell below the previous year due to a temporary reversal of earnings and higher interest expenses and foreign exchange losses, but underlying operating profit excluding special factors showed strong growth of 20 percent. By segment, content distribution saw higher revenue and profit as the number of paying subscribers expanded to 5.22 million, while the finance, real estate, and global businesses more than doubled their revenue. The company offers shareholders holding 100 shares or more a free subscription to the video streaming service U-NEXT and loyalty points twice a year, with the most recent ex-rights date being August 27, 2026.
