Astrotech Corporation is a mass spectrometry company operating worldwide. It owns and licenses intellectual property related to the Astrotech Mass Spectrometer Technology, a platform mass spectrometry technology. The company develops the TRACER 1000, a mass spectrometer-based explosive trace detector intended to replace explosives trace detectors used at airports, border checkpoints, cargo hubs, infrastructure security, correctional facilities, military bases, and law enforcement centers. It also develops the AGLAB-1000 for the hemp and cannabis market, the BreathTest-1000 breath analysis tool for screening volatile organic compound metabolites, the Pro-Control 1000-D2 mass spectrometer, and EN-SCAN for detecting soil, water, and air contamination source location and migration. Formerly known as SPACEHAB, Inc., it changed its name to Astrotech Corporation in 2009. The company was incorporated in 1984 and is based in Austin, Texas.
