BLC sends Plai Vana to back King of Fight, targeting younger generation as injuries surge

Bangkok Lab and Cosmetic, or BLC, is expanding its sports marketing base by deploying the Plai Vana brand as a main sponsor of the national Muay Thai tournament King of Fight, under the slogan Thai Heritage For Every Fighter, to link the martial art of Muay Thai with plai, a Thai herb long used to treat aches and pains. Chief Executive Officer Suwit Ngamphuphan revealed that sports injury rates among teenagers and early working-age adults have risen by around 20 to 30 percent, driven by the heavy exercise trends of the new generation, leading the company to see growth opportunities in the pain relief product segment. Plai Vana contains 14 percent plai oil, helping to relieve sprains and muscle aches in a portable, easy-to-use cream format. The company expects that supporting King of Fight will help drive standout growth for its pain relief product line and reinforce BLC's image in expanding its consumer base among athletes and the new generation with active lifestyles.
