CBAK Energy Technology Limited has secured a new large-scale order for battery cells from one of India's leading two- and three-wheeler manufacturers, with an estimated value of approximately US$96 million excluding applicable tax. The order is expected to bring the designated manufacturing facility to full capacity, with delivery expected to be completed within calendar year 2027. CBAK Energy Launches New High-Rate Cells for AI Data Center Backup Power

CBAK Energy Technology is introducing two new lithium iron phosphate high-rate cylindrical cells, the 26650HP V2.0 and 26650PFS2 V2.0, designed specifically for battery backup unit applications in AI data centers. The 26650HP V2.0 delivers a 40C continuous discharge rate and the 26650PFS2 V2.0 delivers 38C, both far exceeding the typical 15C level, enabling them to handle millisecond-scale GPU load spikes from under 10% to 100%. Each cell achieves an ultra-low internal resistance below 3 milliohms, compared with the industry norm of around 12 milliohms, ensuring stable millisecond-level switching from UPS to BBU and reducing heat generation. The cells also boost single-unit output power to 260 watts and 310 watts respectively, breaking the industry's typical 120-to-200-watt range without increasing size, thereby raising power density within the same rack space. CBAK Energy Technology Limited previewed its next-generation high-rate lithium iron phosphate cylindrical cells designed for AI data center battery backup unit and uninterruptible power supply applications. The 26650 HP V2.0 and 26650 PFS2 V2.0 cells deliver 40C and 38C continuous discharge respectively, with up to 100C pulse discharge under specified test conditions, and feature ultra-low internal resistance below 3 milliohms. Single-cell power output reaches 260 watts for the HP V2.0 and 310 watts for the PFS2 V2.0, compared with a typical 120 to 200 watts for conventional cylindrical LFP or NMC cells in the same 26650 form factor. The cells support more than 600 cycles under specified 5C and 10C test conditions and operate across a temperature range of minus 40 to 70 degrees Celsius.
