Knightscope targets 50%-60% gross margin as K7 deployments set for Q4 2026

Knightscope reported record second-quarter 2026 revenue of $9 million, up 228% from $2.7 million a year earlier, and said it aims for 50% to 60% gross margin over time as it plans initial deployments of its K7 autonomous security robot in the fourth quarter of 2026. CEO William Santana Li called it the best quarter in company history, with 434 clients across 42 states, and highlighted the full-quarter contribution from the acquired Security Force business. CFO Apoorv Dwivedi said gross margin was $0.7 million, or about 7% of revenue, marking a second consecutive quarter of positive gross margin, while operating expenses rose to $13.8 million from $5.4 million. The company ended the quarter with $8.2 million in cash and cash equivalents, and management outlined second-half milestones including the launch of the Autonomous Security Force at GSX in September and the initial launch of its Signals software orchestration platform.
